The Ukrainian military successfully reflect the attacks, causing significant losses to the occupiers. Thus, during the last day, the forces of defense repelled 28 attacks in the areas of Avdiivka, Lastochka, as well as 5 more attacks near Pervomaisky and Nevelsky in Donetsk region. "According to the decision, there is a planned strengthening of units and a maneuver is carried out by troops in threatening areas," the General Staff reports.
It was also noted that in the Mariinsky direction, Ukrainian soldiers continue to successfully reflect the attacks of the invaders in the districts of Krasnogorivka, St. George, Ventdes and Novomikhailivka of Donetsk region. There were 34 attacks. In other areas, active fighting was also observed: 3 attacks south of Prychistivka and in the Staromayorsky area were reflected in the Novopavlovsky direction.
6 attacks were recorded in the Liman direction in areas of Ternya settlements, Yampolivka and Vesele. In addition, in the Bakhmut direction of defense forces successfully repelled 10 attacks in the districts of Bogdanivka, Ivanivsky, Khishchyevka and Andreevka in Donetsk region.
It should be reminded that in its report of February 15, the analytics of the American Institute for War Study (ISW) noted that in the event of possible seizure of Avdiivka of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will not be able to promptly advance and capture large settlements west of this city due to significant losses.
