The Ukrainian LGBTKI+ Military Rights informed that the military began to receive threats from the Deputy Commander of Psychological Support of the 158th Separate Mechanized Brigade after a video that kisses its male partner.

"The military correspondence stated a possible immediate transfer to the other part - a practice that is often used as punishment," the organization noted. When talking to the representatives of the Human Rights Organization, Sedyuk was summoned for questioning and removed his computer and phone. European diplomats and public figures learned about the incident, as the officer managed to disseminate information about threats on social networks.

The conflict was resolved due to the intervention of the General Staff Advisor on Oksana Grigorieva.

As the activists reported, Vitaliy does not threaten anything at the moment, he is looking for a place to transfer on his own. "A series of interrogations awaits him again, and his personal belongings were not returned to him," the representatives of the organization said.

In connection with the incident, the activists called on systemic changes in the military structure: strengthening the powers of the military Ombudsman, expanding the influence of advisers on gender issues and granting broader powers to the Central Directorate of the Protection of the Rights of the Defense Ministry of Defense. Subsequently, on his Instagram, Vitaliy Sedyuk reported that he was still well as a military and thanked Oksana Grigoriev for his intervention.
