The power of India has achieved the release of part of its citizens from the army of the Russian Federation - the Foreign Ministry

Indian mercenaries, contrary to the recommendations of the authorities, signed contracts with the army of the Russian Federation, as if they were there on "auxiliary work". According to some reports, about 100 India citizens were recruited in total. Information about mercenaries from India, who are in the ranks of the Russian army and seek help from demobilization, appeared in the media.

On February 26, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India confirmed this information and reported that some of the Indian citizens had already been dismissed. The press service of the Indian Foreign Ministry states that each such case was carefully considered by the Russian authorities, the Ministry, and the Russian Embassy in New Delhi. As a result, several people have already been released.

"We still intend to actively consider in a primary order with the Russian authorities all the relevant cases of early liberation of Indian citizens from the Russian army," the Indian Foreign Ministry said. Despite the fact that the Indian authorities asks their citizens to stay away from the two -year war in Ukraine, some Indians have signed contracts with the Russian army and are in it in the so -called "auxiliary work".

According to Reuters, New Delhi asked Moscow for early release of such citizens-according to some reports, about 100 Indians were recruited last year under contracts for at least a year. The publication emphasizes that citizens of many countries are looking for a job in the Russian army, in particular from the neighboring Nepal.

In this regard, Indian diplomats regularly appeal to the Russian authorities for their release as soon as possible, but the Russian Embassy did not immediately respond to the request of the Indian side. "We urge all India citizens to exercise proper caution and keep away from this conflict," Indian diplomats emphasize. Earlier it was reported that tens of thousands of citizens of Asia and Africa are fighting on the side of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
