HARM flights are carried out on predetermined profiles, involving intelligence and radio electronic fighting to maintain air defense missions. Thus, this combat application demonstrates a new level of opportunities for Ukrainian aviation.

Earlier, the Su-27 was limited to struck by free bombs, or unmanaged missiles, which required entry into the air defense zones, now the aircraft is capable of hitting goals from a safe distance. This transformation expands the tactical range of Su-27 and increases the survival of pilots.
