He explained that the murder of Parubiy was a "revenge to the Ukrainian authorities" for the dead son, who fought in the intelligence of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade "Cold Yar". Moreover, the man categorically denied any connection or pressure from the Russian special services. The court hearing was under increased protection. The suspect stated that he was indifferent to whom to kill, and he chose Parubia only because he knew his address.

Also, the Galician District Court of Lviv identified a suspected preventive measure - two months of detention without the possibility of bail. Among other things, the head of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office Mykola Meret told reporters that the weapon, from which eight shots were made, have not yet been found. At first, the man was accused of premeditated murder, which provides up to 15 years in prison, but after retraining, he is threatened with life imprisonment.

"After committing the crime, the suspect tried to hide the traces: he went into the woods, burned his clothes, dismantled the bike on which he moved in Lviv, and tried to drown it, but the attempt was unsuccessful," - said Nicholas Merret. The TSN also contacted the suspect's first wife. The woman, the mother of their son, who disappeared during the fighting in 2023, learned about the act of the former only today, looking at the personnel from the court hearing.

"The stunned woman said that she had done her former only today when she saw the frames from the courtroom. She asked the pause to move her spirit, but she never came out," the material reads. She explained that they had parted in 1998, and officially divorced in 2000, and took all the care of her son.

According to the military correspondent Andrei Tsaplienko, the suspect in the murder of Andriy Parubiy is trying to cover his actions with the story of the dead son. The correspondent believes that this version looks like a pre -prepared legend, allegedly created by Russian special services in the event of a detention of the attacker.
