Common way to win. History of successful cooperation of Ukrainian business during the war

The full -scale war, which, on February 24, Russia had fallen against Ukraine, seemed to be developing business on a pause, but on the contrary, it woke up new hidden forces in every person, united the nation, prompted frantic resistance and creativity.

As part of the Metro Ukraine Special Proceedings, we talk about the experience of successful cooperation between two businesses - Metro and Fish Market restaurant in war, as an example of a creative approach to circumstances that have been overcome, strengthening and hardening themselves and the country.

The director of the Metro shopping center on Poznyaki Sergey Brushkovsky and the owner of Fish Market Kirill Zagorenko shared their stories to victory, and also told what they are most proud of these half years. In their work, they prove that in extreme situations, Ukrainian people are able to do more than imagine.

Video Cyril Zagorenko, founder of the restaurant Fish Market (Boryspil): "When I closed the restaurant on February 23, I had the impression that I was saying goodbye to the establishment" Fish Market owner before the full -scale war Fish Market was disabled The center of Boryspil in March 2020, and which the locals managed to love. Its founder and owner Kirill Zagorenko has dramatically changed the profession from the dream to fly to a new dream - a restaurant business.

The concept of our institution is an industrial restaurant with fresh seafood and design interior. We can choose fish and seafood and cook them in a hosper on coal on a brought, and you can relax in the hall. We serve salmon, dorado, sibas, mackerel and seafood: shrimp, squid, octopus. We should also be visited for the sake of delicious dishes of Japanese cuisine, Finnish soup and real Tom-Yam, because in our menu there is also Asian cuisine.

We are located in the courtyard in the center of Boryspil. Before the war, we dreamed that people will be gathered for our cozy, lamp establishment for apartment, but now it is not in time. What was the February 24 for you? Unexpected. We woke up from the explosions. I do not believe in signs, but when I closed the restaurant on February 23, I had the impression that I said goodbye to the institution. I used to work as a rescuer in Africa, so I know the sounds of explosions.

I immediately realized that the war had begun. Together with our family we went 40 km from Boryspil to Pereyaslav. There I decided that we need to do something, because we will disappear the fish, which we purchased literally a day before the invasion. We started cooking canned food for the Armed Forces because they can be stored even without a refrigerator. They threw a cry among the inhabitants of Pereyaslav and helped us with autoclaves - dishes for the manufacture of canned food and stew.

Metro Poznyaka shopping center helped the products necessary for the manufacture of canned foods: cereals, vegetables, oil and more. In two and a half months of daily work, we managed to produce 9,000 diets for the military. We are now continuing to cooperate in a volunteer field - we create grocery sets for Boryspil pensioners every week. We are very grateful that Metro Ukraine continues to support our ideas. When did you manage to recover work? We opened again on May 11.

And they were very pleasantly impressed with the joy of people. To see their emotions was cool, cool than any money. Sergey Brushkovsky, Director of Metro Poznyaki Shopping Center: “This is our country, it is our hometown, it is our people, we are one state and one family” Director of Metro Poznyaki Shopping Center Sergey Brushkovsky has been working in Metro Ukraine for 18 years. His career at the company began in 2004 from the second Metro store in Ukraine in Kharkiv.

Working at the company gave him the opportunity to get acquainted with Ukraine - he worked in Lutsk, Ternopil, Donetsk, Kropyvnytskyi, Kremenchug and Chernihiv. The Great Shopping Center Metro Poznyaki in Kiev, which Sergey Brushkovsky is now managing, has become a store of his dream. "I had the opportunity to see our country from different parts, to see how it develops, and I can say that it is really a cool experience," said Sergei Brushkovsky.

What turned out to be for you on February 24? My wife woke me up with the words "war" and "my native Kharkiv bomb. " I saw the window as the street is filled with cars of people who left Kyiv. But I didn't have a panic. I knew that I would not leave Kiev anywhere. When I came to the store, I saw that most staff did not go to work, but there were people who also shared my opinion that we had to stay and work here.

We changed the work schedule of the shopping center: we only worked at the time allowed by the city management. We had sufficient inventory. During March and April, the procurement department did a tremendous work so that customers did not see empty shelves, and ATMs and machines of the cards were working in the building. I felt that our team was doing something really useful when people came to us and found under one roof everything we needed.

I am very grateful to the team that was nearby, I supported me and which I supported. We were standing side by side. None of us was in this situation, but at the same time we understood - it is our country, our hometown, our people, we are one state and one family. What are most proud of these half -year? I am proud that our love for Ukraine has become so strong that the issue of victory is just a matter of time.

I am proud of our cool team and the fact that my family was next to me for the first two months. We worked together in the store, and my younger son helped to collect goods for volunteers and military units. He grows in a beautiful country, he loves it, and we build the future of our children. How does your company help the Armed Forces, volunteers, ordinary people? It's also a new experience.

During these half -year, we, as a company, supported 84 military units, 62 territorial defense units, 77 charitable organizations, 68 establishments that were prepared or prepared for warriors, hospitals, animal shelters. This support of the Ukrainian people is not weak now. Thanks to every employee who works in the company. We understand that by supporting these volunteer organizations, we support the movement of freedom that builds our future country.

One example of volunteer cooperation is Ekasha's stew made for Ukrainian military restaurant from Boryspil Fish Market, a longtime Metro Poznyaki Customer. After the start of a full -scale invasion, the owner of Kirill Zagorenko had a large amount of fish, and due to hostilities the restaurant could not work. He had the idea to turn all the fish into canned food, which they called Ekash.
