We expect that the 17th package of EU sanctions against Russia will be approved in the coming days and will contain tangible restrictive measures-Igor Zhovkva

Igor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine, met with Polish Minister of Polish Affairs Adam Shlapka. The key topic of discussion is the results of a meeting of the leaders of France, Germany, Poland, the United Kingdom and Ukraine, which took place in Kyiv on May 10, and a joint statement by leaders. Igor Zhovkva stressed that it is important to continue to make a joint effort to achieve a fair and prolonged peace in Ukraine.

In particular, it is about increasing sanction pressure on the Russian Federation, coordinated with international partners. "We expect that the 17th package of EU sanctions will be approved in the coming days and will contain tangible restrictive measures," said the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office. Particular attention was paid to Ukraine's progress in negotiations on joining the EU and the need to open negotiating clusters as soon as possible.
