If we take general losses for April, including sanitary (wounded), the figures reach 15-17 thousand. From the beginning of Russia's offensive operation in the Pokrovsky direction, according to the same GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the losses of the occupiers are compared to the number of personnel of the entire Western military district of the Russian Federation.

In other words, thanks to the successful actions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in this direction, the most capable units of the Russian army have been disposed of. It is worth noting that the level of losses is critical even for the army of the Russian Federation. According to the Russian side, at the moment, in the Pokrovsky direction, they turn the actually unprepared personnel, which has undergone combat coordination within 3-4 weeks. This is actually a ticket one way.

And this seriously expands Ukraine's capabilities to destroy heavy armored vehicles and enemy staff. Despite the tremendous losses in the live power, Russian occupation troops do not leave attempts to promote in the direction of Pokrovsk and enter the administrative borders of Donetsk region.

Russian invaders do not leave attempts to directly control the location of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Pokrovsky direction. After establishing control over the highways of Pokrovsk-Konstantinovka, Pokrovsk-Mezhov, the main task of the invaders is to promote the flanks in order to create an operational environment of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Pokrovsky direction.

But as we can see, it is very unsuccessful. Pokrovsk is the last agglomeration on the way to the administrative border with the Donetsk region. It is also possible to return from Pokrovsk to the north for Kramatorsk and south for further advancement along the border to the Zaporizhzhya region.

In addition, Pokrovsk is a strategically important city because of its role as a supply unit, it stands at the intersection of many transport highways, one of which leads to key cities of Donetsk region, including the time of Yar and Konstantinovka, and contains a regional railway station.
