Analysts of the Institute of War (ISW) in the report published on April 14 were explained by the reflection of the air attack by Israel and Ukraine. Iran and Russia use similar tactics of air blows, which involve various means of damage, - analysts explained. At the same time, the Israeli Defense Army repelled such an attack more successfully than it makes Ukraine.
In particular, on the night of April 14, the Israelis managed to knock down 99% of enemy shells: 170 Shahd-136, 30 winged missiles and 120 ballistic-a total of 320 goals. Instead, the best indicator of missing missiles with Ukrainian Air Defense forces "not so successful," - noted in the report. There are three differences between the two countries that can explain the difference in efficiency.
According to ISW analysts, higher efficiency in reflecting a combined attack is explained by the following factors. First, Israel is located in a slightly profitable geographical position. Iranian rockets and drones needed 1,000 km to fly to the target. At the same time, they flew over a number of other countries (Jordan, Syria, Iraq), and this gave additional beaten opportunities.
Meanwhile, as Ukraine has a common border with the aggressor country and the time of flight of air to the looat is too short. Secondly, Israeli in the reflection of the Iranian attack was helped by the allies-the United States, the United Kingdom. Due to this, some of the threats were neutralized in the air. Third, the Air Force forces of Israel are well prepared for the reflection of air attacks-they are trained and have a sufficient number of missiles for the crashing of hostile shells.
Meanwhile, as Ukraine has limited opportunities as a result of delayed US military assistance and restricted support for other partners, - summaries summed up. It should be noted that in 2024 the highest efficiency of the work of Air Defense forces of Ukraine against rockets of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was 70% in January. In March, it fell to 58%, - the calculations of analysts show.
In particular, in March, the enemy caused two massive rocket-a-mud attacks: March 22 (when the hit on Dniproges) and March 24 (damage to other objects). In April, the Russians made a massive attack on April 11: destroyed the Trypillian hydroelectric power station and left without heat supply the entire Kiev region. Iran's attack on Israel occurred on the night of April 14, and it was known in advance due to the warning of the Western special services.
