In December 2016, when Russia decided to create a so -called "united group of troops" in the occupied Georgian Abkhazia, the Ukrainian delegation repeatedly urged the UN Security Council to consider the situation in Georgia and to support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of this country within its internationally recognized borders. Russia, taking advantage of its status as a permanent member in the UN Council, blocked this proposal.

Video Day in March 2017, when pseudolonging took place in the occupied Abkhazia and South Ossetia, Ukraine again initiated a discussion in the UN Security Council. "The provocative actions of the Russian Federation are similar to the policy of militarization in the Crimea and the complete neglect of the Russian side of human rights on the Ukrainian Peninsula," - said the then permanent representative of Ukraine at the UN Volodymyr Yelchenko at the meeting.

The overwhelming majority of the Council Member States condemned the aggressive policy of the Russian Federation and called on Moscow to stop the occupation of the Georgian territories, but Russia again blocked the approval of the statement of confirmation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia.

Similar decisions, as well as decisions on the introduction of the UN peacekeeping forces, require consensus by five permanent members of the Council - the United Kingdom, France, the USA, China and Russia. But there are many examples where the latter abuses his right to vote, blocking the consideration of issues and making decisions aimed at ensuring peace and guaranteeing security in the world. This was the case with wars in Georgia, Syria, and Ukraine.

"Due to the existence of such a member of the Security Council as the Russian Federation, this UN body is at the moment not working," - states Sergei Gaidai, a political technologist who, along with his communication agency, has undertaken to provide public support from the UN Federation's initiative.

It is Maxim Barishnikov, a lawyer and one of the founders of the initiative that, and one of the founders of the initiative, also calls it illegal, and it will also contribute to its termination, not only the effective work of the Council, but also of Ukraine's wicked victory and the establishment of many years of sustainable peace.

Two months ago, an initiative group, which was based on the participants of the public hub - mostly lawyers and lawyers - decided to seek consideration of the issue of the wrongfulness of Russia's stay in the UN and in the end - deprivation of its powers in the Rada and other bodies of the organization.

The main argument of the Russian group from the UN is not even that Russia is an aggressor as part of an organization that has to prevent wars, and that the Russian Federation has never passed the statutory procedure for admission to the UN, so it is not its legal member. As Russia usurped the place of the Soviet Union in the UN in April 1945, representatives of 50 countries gathered in American San Francisco, where for two months they developed and eventually signed the UN Statute.
