The military commander approved the Defense Plan for 2024, which no longer envisaged the mobilization of so many persons. "It is also important to keep in mind that weapons and a huge financial resource are needed to ensure a conscription of 500,000 people for their training and maintenance," Gorbenko emphasized. According to the People's Deputy, nowadays military command and servicemen talk about the need for mobilization of 100-110 thousand people for 2024.
