According to Rustem Umerov, the Iceye satellite system will help the Ukrainian command to identify priority observation areas and quickly receive current data. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has signed a strategically important contract with the Finnish Aerospace Company Iceye, which is a leader in the SAR-Satellite. This was reported by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov. According to the minister, this agreement will expand the opportunities of Ukrainian intelligence.

Armed Forces servicemen will access high precision space images with full coating of the fighting area. The Ukrainian command will be able to determine priority surveillance areas and quickly receive current data through the Iceye satellite system. The Ministry of Defense Chairman also thanked the partners for their assistance. According to him, the agreement was made possible by the support of the German government and the RheinMetall concern, which was the party to the contract.

"By introducing advanced space intelligence technologies, we create a technological advantage that increases combat capability and protects our military," Rustem Umerov said. We will remind, earlier in the GUR reported that thanks to Iceye Ukrainian intelligence has reached a new level of quality and promptness of obtaining reconnaissance data.

With the help of Iceye, intelligence officers monitor the permanent dislocation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, landfills, military towns and mobilization deployment centers, military factories and a network of occupants' logistics, including the illegally built Crimean bridge. According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Iceye satellite helped Ukrainian defenders to destroy the large landing ship "Minsk" and diesel-electric submarine "Rostov-on-Don" in Sevastopol Bay.
