Among a number of issues during the meeting, the participants discussed the situation in Ukraine, taking into account its impact on the global economy. As a result of the discussions, most G20 countries strongly condemned the war in Ukraine. However, Russia opposed the inclusion of a paragraph with such a formulation in the text of the ministerial declaration, which resulted in no declaration. It is reported that due to Russia's position, he failed to reach the text of any declaration.
In addition, ministers also pledged to protect human rights and personal confidentiality within the development of a digital economy. The issues of safety and stimulating economic growth in the conditions of expansion of digitalization were discussed. Recall that Ukraine was not included in the invited G20 countries. Among the guests, in addition to the Member States, they invited Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, Nigeria, Spain, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirate, Oman and Singapore.
