More than 1000 days of war: what important support Ukrainian companies provide to children, communities and Armed Forces

During a full -scale war, the Ukrainian business does not stay away, but directs millions and even billions to support humanitarian initiatives, support the medical sector and purchase important equipment for the Armed Forces. Focus tells what important charitable projects are implementing socially responsible companies today. A month ago, Ukrainians crossed a new tragic date for all - 1000 days of a full -scale war.

During this time, thousands of homes were destroyed, millions of people have become forced migrants and migrants, repeatedly destroyed power plants and other civilian infrastructure sites, and all Ukrainians experience the tragic consequences of Russian aggression daily. Meanwhile, on the forefront we are protected by real heroes that at the cost of our own lives defend the country from the invaders.

Focus gathered in one material important projects for the support of our defenders and civilians, which are embodied by Ukrainian companies daily, approaching victory. The war in Ukraine has further exacerbated problems in the medical field, and children still need treatment of quite difficult injuries and diagnoses. One of the important projects aimed at supporting children has been implementing Kyivstar for six years in a row.

"Children's Hope" started in 2018 as a joint initiative of Kyivstar and the charity platform dobro. ua. The purpose of the project is to help children with heart defects and cancer by purchasing the necessary equipment from Ukrainian hospitals. In 2023, care spread to children with burns. "The main task was to provide hospitals with modern equipment for diagnostics and treatment at home in Ukraine.

As part of the Kyivstar initiative, the purchase of high -tech equipment necessary for the treatment of children. For six years of existence, the project has received the support of thousands of subscribers of Kyivstar and partners that are actively involved. Among the key partners are hospitals of Lviv, Kiev, Dnipro and other regions, ” - Alexander Komarov, Seo of Kyivstar.

In total, over UAH 50 million was raised during the existence of the Children's Hope Project to support children's hospitals and medical initiatives. The project is focused on system assistance through partnership with the Dobro. ua Foundation, which coordinates funds and determines the priority needs of hospitals. This provides effective distribution of resources and transparency in the use of funds. For six years, the Children's Hope has raised more than UAH 50 million.

Since 2023, Kyivstar has allocated UAH 28. 3 million for the purchase of equipment for the treatment of children with burns to the rehabilitation center "Unbreakable". Within the charity project, the purchase is quite difficult and important for the treatment of equipment.

For example, this year was purchased a cryochurgy system for freezing nerves, which allows you to effectively anesthetize without medication, as well as a system for the treatment of burn injuries with moisture and temperature control. ua, plans to continue the support of medical institutions, focusing on long -term projects that save children's lives and strengthen the Ukrainian medical system. A group of pharmaceutical companies "Kute" regularly helps residents of the frontlines from the very beginning of the war, as well as the hospitals that are located there. For example, the company was one of the first to pass the necessary medicines and hospitals as soon as Kherson and other cities were released.

In addition to the assistance of the Armed Forces, we do not forget about the social sphere. In 2022 it already amounted to more than $ 5 million, " - said Rajuzh Gupta, CEO of the Kutum Pharmaceutical Companies. The company was one of the first to pass the necessary medicines and hospitals as soon as Kherson and other cities were released. The company also takes care of local communities in the native Sumy region, where the Kutum enterprise is located.

"Also, when creating a" gray zone "in Sumy region, our company helped to provide the necessary medicines of the residents who remained there. And this is just a small part of what the company does by helping the civilian population," Kutum said. The help of children was a separate important initiative of Kuto during a full -scale war.

In the city of Sumy, together with the local organization of the Red Cross of Ukraine, the company regularly conducts events for students within the framework of the projects "Safe Vacations" and "School of Awareness". Both are aimed at teaching Ukrainians vital skills and promoting safety rules. "To talk about the potential danger to children is one way to save them. Therefore, we organize training for students on which they will receive useful skills that save lives," Kutum said.

They explain that special attention was paid to the creation of interactive classes that included emergency modeling and solving practical problems. Due to the participation of the Red Cross volunteers and professional instructors, all participants have learned useful knowledge in an accessible form. Of course, part of the company charitable programs is the assistance of the Armed Forces, which includes both the purchase and repair of the necessary equipment and transport defenders.

"We regularly assist and repair military transport because we understand the importance and need for the mobility of defenders. For more than 1000 days, Ukrainian companies have been making efforts to supply drones, transportation to our defenders, and some companies have been making special shelters. For example, Metinvest's company is one of the important developments - special mobile shelters - steel "hiding places", which are installed underground. According to the company, the life of the military in different directions of the front already protects 651 such shelter.

Also on the basis of "Kryivtsi" the company creates command points, and in the fall of 2024 even the first underground hospital in Ukraine was built, equipped with modern medical equipment and a value of more than 20 million UAH. In addition to the shelters, Metinvest regularly transfers drones, thermal sights, cars and other equipment regularly.

It does not leave a large metallurgical company and the civilian population of Ukraine - the initiative "Save Life" was created, in which the company sent 4200 tons of products, personal care products, first need (collected in cooperation with donors and partners) to Ukrainians. for hospitals for 9. 5 million UAH. Kernel Agro Holding also develops charitable initiatives concerning the Armed Forces and assistance to communities.

Since the beginning of the war, the company focused on two main tasks: providing food security and assistance to the Ukrainian army and victims of war. In total, the company has already shared more than UAH 3 billion for various charitable initiatives. The company reported that they finance equipment for four military brigades of the Armed Forces and provide them with everything necessary for combat tasks: air defense systems, UAVs, trucks, cars, protective equipment, thermal imagers and more.

Kernel is focused on the supply of product kits, hygiene and other necessary things for displaced persons and people who are in a difficult situation. It is about the transfer of tens of tons of humanitarian grain and food. In addition, Kernel sends equipment and medicines to hospitals where both military and civilians are being treated. Charitable projects during the war are actively developing the IT company Eraram.

Since February 24, 2022 and within the next 1000 days the company provided financial and non -financial assistance for a total amount of UAH 670 million. The main assistance vectors are humanitarian assistance to civilians, support for defenders, and also the development of IT decisions for the state and public organizations Pro Bono, as well as projects aimed at supporting educational processes.
