The war of war. An exhibition of rigid cartoons on Putin (photo) opened in Kiev

The exposition "Artists and the War" was opened at the Taras Shevchenko Museum. It presents powerful cartoons on Putin-the authorship of the famous Ukrainian caricurist artist Volodymyr Kazanevsky. Its anti -war cartoons were published in the US, France, Japan. The focus will tell you about the impressions that these works make. The exhibitions with these drawings took place in 2022-2023 in France, Italy, Japan, Slovakia, Norway and here-in Ukraine. In total, Vladimir in the arsenal has more than 90 Grand Prix and half a thousand awards received in dozens of countries. Already for the anti -war cartoons, he was given the Koffi Anann Prize in 2022 in Switzerland, and in the UK he was awarded the Solidarity Award for Political Cartarists with the wording "for skill, creativity and courage".

Kazanevsky published several graphic novels - stories in cartoons without the words: "Memories of Summer Amur", "Head", "Neck", "Crazy". After a large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he published two albums-books: the "fall of dinosaurria" (was conceived for invasion) and "war of war". About the Anti-Putin, anti-war cycle, which is now presented at the Shevchenko Museum, the artist says: "In fact, I rarely addressed political cartoon.

My main creativity belongs to the so-called" philosophical cartoon ". But after February 24, 2022, I could not To think about something else and to draw nothing else than the cartoon of anti -war content. " In my opinion, the genre of Kaznevsky is an "analytical cartoon". He always showed what could happen to Homo Sapiens if you remove the second component of the definition - "smart".

In fact, the creativity of the master is denoted by the phrase by the name of Francisco Goi: "The dream of the mind gives birth to a monster. " And here Putin made true madness, unleashing the bloody war against Ukraine, so Kazanevsky immediately began to sift this terrible event into his figurative coordinate system. "Through me, a stream of Antiputin cartoons went directly," Vladimir shares with focus, "sometimes a few drawings a day. And in the world, of course, they had a big response.

I gave briefings across Europe. Interviews. So from the head of the Russian dictator rushes a chain of tanks, then his head - in the form of passages: she tries to bite the nut of the earth. So Putin sits in an underground bunker and cowardly watches the war in a periscope in the form of a letter "Z". Many works are dedicated to the advocacy of propaganda of the brains of the Russians and many drawings, where there is death with a braid.

More optimistic work when a gambling card with a Swastika Swastika is beating a map depicting an American Himars missile installation. Even more optimism in the drawing from the album "Nutro War" (which is presented here), where a huge Russian ship called "Titanic", falls on a small iceberg called "Ukraine".
