The first sign for Putin. That the Russians think about the war against Ukraine

Dmitry Oreshkin Russian political scientist Dmitry Oreshkin: Russians are not ready to admit that Putin and his army cannot break the defense of Ukraine (photo: Reuters) of a small victorious war, and it seems that Russia seems to be accustomed. A new phase begins - a long, grueling, annoying war, but very important changes occurred. The war became a protracted stationary nature. And this means that there is a change in its perception, in particular, in Russia.

Sociologists record that 15-20% of the population suggests that "special operation in Ukraine" confuses them and bothers them. This is the first sign of fatigue from these events. The people who supported Putin were interested in the war because they were waiting for a quick and devastating victory, and were convinced that Putin was a great warlord who won quickly, "could repeat" and so on. They have now seen that they did not work and cannot say that they no longer like this war.

And they say - "No, we are not interesting, we do not want to know about it. " This means that people are reflected to other events. And other events within the life of Russia, at least positive, very little. The closer to the fall, the more clear the results of the sanctions. In large developed centers, in particular, in Moscow and St. Petersburg, their impact is not seriously felt. There are no signs of unemployment.

Yes, a large number of product range in stores is reduced, but vital things do not disappear. But in the province, where smaller reserves in retail chains, there have already begun signs of scarcity. The little victorious war failed, and it seems that Russia is already accustomed. A new phase begins - a long, tiring, irritable war that Putin's supporters cannot explain. They are not ready to admit that Putin and his army cannot overcome Ukraine's defense.
