According to the investigation, the suspect was recruited by the FSB at the beginning of a full -scale invasion, and for the tasks he was fulfilled, he was promised cash. Law enforcement agencies of Ukraine detained a local resident from Nikolaev, who transmitted information about the coordinates of defense plants and buildings of the Security Service of Ukraine in this region. In addition, he suggested organizing rocket strokes on these facilities using Russian dagger missiles.

This was reported by the SBU press service and the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office. According to the SBU, the Russian Federal Security Service recruited a local resident from Nikolaev at the beginning of a full -scale invasion. In addition to providing the coordinates of defense plants and the Security Service of Ukraine, he collected intelligence on the places of dislocation and movement of units of defense forces in frontline areas in the south.

For his successful task, he was promised a monetary reward. According to the information provided by the prosecutor's office, in June 2023 the suspect passed the enemy side of the coordinates of civil infrastructure located in Nikolaev. According to the prosecutor's office, the man was aware that this information could be used by the enemy to strike at these facilities, which could lead to the death of citizens and destruction of residential buildings.

Thus, his actions were recognized as socially dangerous. The SBU detained the suspect. He removed the gadget with evidence of correspondence with the FSB. The man was informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 (State betrayal committed in martial law), Part 2 of Art. 15, Part 5 of Art. 27, Part 2 of Art. 28, Part 1 of Art. 438 (completed attempted assistance in violation of the laws and customs of war). Precautionary measure - detention. The investigation is ongoing.
