People are forbidden: what is the island look like, "occupied" the world's most poisonous snakes (photo)

The Navy does not allow anyone except scientists, since an unprepared traveler without special equipment will not have a chance to survive in such conditions. Ilya de Kimada-Grande is a tiny island off the coast of Brazil with rocky shores and dense tropical forests, at first glance, may seem idyllic, but tourist trips are strictly forbidden there. After all, this is not the only place where you can find one of the most flowing snakes on the planet - a golden runner. About it writes The Mirror.

The island, which was once part of the mainland, covers an area of 106 acres and is located 21 miles from the southeastern coast of Brazil with rocky shores, among hills and tropical forests. The Brazilian Navy does not allow anyone except scientists, since an unprepared traveler without special equipment will not have a chance to survive in such conditions.

Experts say that the golden racks are small and cautious, their poison was very slow enough, so the victim had time to escape and die somewhere. However, in thousands of years, vipers have evolved, becoming more deadly - now their poison is five times stronger than those of the species on the mainland. There are no mammals on the Ilya de Kamada-Grand, so reptiles have to catch birds to survive.

Although there are 41 species of birds, the vipers only hunt for two of them: the Southern Hook and the Chilean Elaian. In the 1920s, the Brazilian fleet declared the island closed. The lighthouse, which stood here, was automated with modern technologies, and residents evacuated. According to local legends, the last caretaker of the lighthouse died with his family after the snakes made their way into their home through open windows.

By the way, the researchers have tried to calculate the number of snakes on the island, but there are still no accurate data. It is believed that their number varies within 4 thousand. We will remind, the tiny man-made island of Santa Cruz Del-Islote, which is located two hours on the boat from the coast of Colombia, is considered the most densely populated in the world-more than 1,200 people live in the territory in a little more. Earlier, focus wrote how people live there.
