They were designed for the task of three rocket strokes during March-April 2025, told in the press center of the General Staff of Ukraine. The department added that these losses were also possible as a result of secondary detonation. Also, strokes on the storage of aviation fuel have led to the destruction of significant stocks, which negatively affects Russia's ability to provide combat.

We will remind, on March 20 it became known that drones attacked the city of Engels of Saratov region of Russia. There is a military airfield "Engels-2", from which strategic bombers take off, which strikes in the territory of Ukraine. The residents of the houses were evacuated nearby. After the UAV attack in the Engels area, they heard a large number of explosions and secondary ammunition detonation. Russian officials noted that this attack was the largest during the war.

Later, the sources of focus in the special services said that the shocks of the drones at the Engels aerodrome are the successful work of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Special Operations Forces (SCO) of the Armed Forces. They added that this is a key base of Russia's strategic aviation, which is stationed by Tu-95MC, TU-22M3 and Tu-160 bomber, as well as there are warehouses of Fabs, cabin and winged missiles.

It is from this aerodrome that planes that make rocket strokes in Ukraine take off. After an attack in Engels, half of the missile bunkers were demolished. The warehouses occupied an area of ​​more than 18 hectares.
