This award is part of a broader Russian strategy to stimulate the destruction of expensive Western military equipment used by Ukraine. On this occasion, the Bulgarian Military Viewer noted that according to some Western military analysts, the planned supply of F-16 fighters to Ukraine will not significantly change the dynamics of the conflict. For example, Estonia's Defense Minister Hanno Meturus said that in principle, Ukraine needs different types of weapons, but some western aircraft will not be able to influence the course of the war.
"Of course, you need first and foremost ammunition - for a long range, ammunition for different types of missile systems, etc. The planes are important, but only the planes themselves will not change the course of war," said Mukur. Earlier it was reported that Russian soldiers promised a cash reward for destroyed or captured LEOPARD 2 and Abrams M1A2, as well as for F-16 fighters.
