Russia has announced a major reward for the destruction of any of the expected Ukrainian fighters F-16. The director of the Ural Company "Frares" has announced a reward of 15 million rubles ($ 167,700) for the first beaten aircraft F-16 and 500 000 rubles ($ 5,500) for each. This was reported on June 8 by the Russian TASS agency.

This award is part of a broader Russian strategy to stimulate the destruction of expensive Western military equipment used by Ukraine. Earlier, "Frares" offered awards for the destruction of tanks, with a significant reward for the first tank (5 million rubles) and smaller awards for each subsequent machine (500 000 rubles).

On this occasion, the Bulgarian Military Viewer noted that according to some Western military analysts, the planned supply of F-16 fighters to Ukraine will not significantly change the dynamics of the conflict. For example, Estonia's Defense Minister Hanno Meturus said that in principle, Ukraine needs different types of weapons, but some western aircraft will not be able to influence the course of the war.

"Of course, you need first and foremost ammunition - for a long range, ammunition for different types of missile systems, etc. The planes are important, but only the planes themselves will not change the course of war," said Mukur. Earlier it was reported that Russian soldiers promised a cash reward for destroyed or captured LEOPARD 2 and Abrams M1A2, as well as for F-16 fighters.
