Correct aviation bombs (CA) or conventional bombs with a unified planning and correction module (UMPC) can fly more than 40 km due to folding wings. They even get to Kharkiv and Zaporozhye. In 2024, Ukraine had nothing to fight with them, but now, according to Forbes, countermeasures have been developed. And some of them are extremely effective. Recently, it became known that the Armed Forces have learned to counteract the Russian Cab, because the bombs have become almost futile.

For example, the secret unit of Night Guard has developed a LIMA radio suppression station that prevents flying bombs from flying. According to Narna Kazarian, Lima, a representative of the "nocturnal", Lima does not just radiate a radio -electronic "noise" like most of the remedies, but creates "digital obstacles". The new system combines traditional signal suppression, depleting (coordinate replacement), and cyberattack on a navigation receiver.

"After the deployment of the Reeb system, the accuracy of bomb attacks decreased initially, and then, realizing the inefficiency of this method of damage and the inability to achieve the goal, the enemy stopped bombing of regional centers in general," - said Naek Kazarian. He added that it was because of LIMA that the bombs in some areas have declined.

Similar complexes, developed by other Ukrainian teams, could reduce the efficiency of the CAC and UMPC in other parts of Ukraine, including Pokrovsk. Due to new methods of suppression, Russian -controlled bombs sometimes simply did not come to Kiev -controlled units of Ukraine, falling in Russia and in the occupied territories. Planned bombardment causes great harm if they do not interfere. Then the Russian infantry goes on the offensive, leaving the remaining defenders.

Such tactics helped the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to capture Avdiivka and significantly move to Pokrovsk. But in February, the bombs ceased to be so effective. In part, this is why the Armed Forces are held by Pokrovsk. Due to the suppression, the Russians tried to transfer ammunition-controlled ammunition, including "Shahda" to new frequencies, and added CRPA-antenna-up to 12 instead of the usual four.

But the Night Guard engineers studied the wreckage and modified the equipment, as well as the plan of its placement on the ground. Lima does not cover the entire front line, not to mention all of Ukraine, because it requires much more systems. If the government decides to deploy more such remedies, engineers can collect 300 systems a month.

"The age of the Divine UMPC was short-lived," commented the Russian Telegram-channel Fighterbomber, which leads the pilot of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Ilya Tumanov. Otherwise, from March 3, he acknowledged that for almost a year the number of successful hits has decreased from 75% to 10%. The author believes that now all important goals in Ukraine will be protected by the means of HR.

To impress one object, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation may need 8 or even 16 planning bombs. By themselves, the Kab and the UMPC are not so expensive by the standards of military equipment (about $ 25,000), but here are the planes that dump them are much more valuable.
