Lithuania offers new sanctions in response to Putin's statement about the placement of nuclear weapons in RB

In the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry, the construction of a storage facility for Russian tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus was called "the desperate step of Putin and Lukashenko. " Diplomats consider RBs an additional risk factor for the Baltic countries. The Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to the statement of Russian President Vladimir Putin about plans for aggressor country to place its nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus.

Lithuanians said they would urge new sanctions against the Kremlin. This was known from the official statement on the Ministry's website, published on March 26. "We carefully monitor the situation around Russia's statement on Russia's plans to place tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus and consider it as another attempt at two unpredictable dictatorial regimes to threaten their neighbors and the entire European continent," the Lithuania said.

The Lithuanian Ministry is convinced that Putin and Lukashenko work to destabilize the situation in Europe. In the cooperation of the Lithuanians see Belarus in the war with Ukraine, and the RB itself consider the risk factor for the Baltic countries. The Foreign Ministry explained that Belarus is increasingly losing sovereignty and integrating into Russia's plans.

"Together with its Euro -Atlantic partners, Lithuania will decide how to respond to these militaristic plans of Russian and Belarussian regimes. As one of the events in response, Lithuania will call for new sanctions in response," - promised at the Lithuanian Ministry. We will remind, on March 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared plans to complete by July 1, 2023 the construction of a storage facility for tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.
