The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launch drones with nets to intercept Ukrainian UAVs: how they work (video)

According to the Russians, the new method is very effective against the drones of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, but because of it the invaders can lose their devices. The Russian Federation showed the work of a new Setcomet system created to intercept unmanned aerial vehicles. The corresponding video was posted by the Russian Telegram channel Crew Russia. In the video, the Russian drone interceptor tends to the copter on top and drops the grid on them.

The drone blades are entangled in the grid, causing the devices to fall. The invaders claim that the development is effective and it is necessary to create a separate calculation of UAVs for the interception of drones. It is reported that there is a threat of "friendly fire", so such devices should be used in cooperation with neighboring units. The video was drawn to the experts of the Defense Express portal, noting that Setcomet can intercept drones of Mavic and is a safe alternative to the ram.

It is not a separate interceptor, but a special suspension with activation by switching on the backlight that is attached to the same Mavic drone or any other UAV. The publication also emphasized that the method of combating UAVs with the help of nets is not new - it was used immediately after the mass appearance of copters on the front. Despite the appearance of ground guns, drones-interceptors and air traces, the nets are still used to intercept drones.

"And although it is maximally likely to be the result of the activities of individuals, as they are called in the Russian Federation - enthusiasts, this decision should be taken care of. We will remind, in November 2023 at the State Tax Service of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian border guards were trained in the Dronehunter F700 UAV management, which are able to catch enemy drones. These UAVs track the goals and at the right moment throw the grid on them.
