Paid 6 billion taxes of the Russian Federation: the SBU announced suspicion to the owner of Khortytsia Chernyak (photo)

According to law enforcement officers, documents and other material evidence of illegal activity in favor of the aggressor country were found during searches in the office premises of the holding. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported suspicion of financing the armed aggression of the Russian Federation to the owner of one of the largest alcoholic holdings Yevgeny Chernyak and 6 more tops of his companies. On Friday, December 29, the SBU reports.

Law enforcement officers gathered the evidence base from Chernyak. According to the investigation, despite the full-scale invasion, his companies continued to business with the aggressor country. The Security Service found that during 2022 only in the form of payment of taxes and fees, subordinate enterprises transferred to the Russian budget about 6 billion in UAH equivalent.

According to the SBU, Chernyak's enterprises, located in the territory of four countries in the Central Asia and the South Caucasus, purchased industrial volumes of alcohol and other concomitant products to the Russian Federation. "During searches in the office premises of the holding in Ukraine, documents and other material evidence of illegal activity in favor of the aggressor country were found," the statement reads.

On the basis of the evidence collected, investigators reported the suspicion of the person who was the person involved and 6 more topsmens of his companies under Part 2 of Art. 28, Art. 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely: "Assistance to the aggressor state committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons. " The issue of arrest on their private and corporate property to transfer to ARMA management is now being resolved.

Businessman Yevgeny Chernyak is part of the top 30 richest people in Ukraine according to Forbes-Ukraine magazine. He also heads the Global Spirits Holding Supervisory Board. In 2003, Chernyak founded the Khortytsia Liberian. In 2004 he opened the representative office of the Metropolitan TD in Russia, in 2010 in the United States. According to Forbs, in June 2013, Chernyak announced the purchase of a Poltava liquor plant, where he started production of TM "Pervak".
