In the spring of 2022, the enemy destroyed the building by almost 80%. Already in 2023, the Russians began to talk that dismantling work was carried out. During the dismantling, they instructed the unique mosaic panel "Metallurgs", which for over 40 years decorated the recreation room. The mosaic was created in 1974 by well -known monumentalists Valentin Konstantinov and Lel Kuzminkov.

In June 2019, the Metallurgi mosaic was exhibited at the UN headquarters in New York, but the Russian invaders decided to completely destroy it.
