Taiwan, despite its official non -recognition of Ukraine, supplies humanitarian ...

Kindred spirits. How Taiwan helps Ukraine in the war with the Russian Federation

Taiwan, despite its official non -recognition of Ukraine, supplies humanitarian and financial assistance to Ukrainians and even reconnaissance drones. Ukraine receives support from all over the world. But while some countries can support their military assistance or open their borders for Ukrainian refugees, others cannot imitate them because of political reasoning or simply because of the distance to Ukraine.

One of these countries is the Republic of China, known as Taiwan, which, despite its official non -recognition of Ukraine, supplies humanitarian and financial assistance to Ukrainians and even small drones. Most of this assistance came from private citizens and companies - a clear sign of sympathy for the Ukrainian people and recognizing the similarity between Ukraine and Taiwan, which has been fearful of Beijing's invasion for many years.

Focus has translated the new material of Analytics by Stein Mitzer, Yusta Yasta Oleans for help with Taiwan for Ukraine. Taiwan also joined Western countries in sanctions against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. As a result, Taiwan stopped exports of semiconductors to Moscow.

Russian companies are completely dependent on Taiwanese semiconductors in the production of electronics and military equipment, and the global deficit of semiconductors has created difficulties for Russia before Taiwan's introduction of export ban. Yes, Taiwan's greatest help is not that it supplies Ukraine, as it does not supply Russia now.

Another example of Taiwan's assistance was to transfer VTOL to VTOL in XDYNAMICS UAV worth about $ 35,000 (which should be officially used for civilian purposes), supply of medical and other goods, as well as financing of medical institutions and Ukrainian refugees worth at least 33 million US dollars. Several Taiwanese volunteers (estimated about a dozen) joined the Ukrainian army since February, bringing with them valuable military experience.

Future assistance may include additional funding and supply of medical goods, as Taiwan continues to strengthen its relations with European countries, even despite the dedication of the EU, "Unified China" policy. Humanitarian aid of $ 33 million, as well as a large amount of goods to assist Ukrainian citizens and refugees in neighboring countries, was harvested thanks to a government campaign, which was conducted during March 2022.

President Taiwan Tsi Invenue, Vice president William Lai and Prime Minister Suzhenchan donated their monthly salaries as humanitarian aid. The support from Taiwanese citizens and the government is the more incredible as Ukraine and Taiwan now have no diplomatic relations. The list below has an attempt to track the equipment and assistance provided or promised by Taiwan to Ukraine during the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
