The head of state skeptically evaluated China's proposal of 12 points, which provides for peace talks between Ukraine and Russia. According to Volodymyr Zelensky, in the process of peaceful settlement of the conflict for the Ukrainian side in the priority "respect" of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries. "I did not receive proposals from China for mediation. I did not get an offer to meet," Volodymyr Zelenskyy assured.
He added that he addressed the leadership of China with diplomatic channels and called on the Chinese leader, Xi Jinping, to meet and hold a higher level. In particular, Volodymyr Zelenskyy asked to support the peace plan drawn up by the Ukrainian side. The President of Ukraine also evaluated the possibility of negotiations with the head of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and stressed that in order to resolve the conflict, Russian troops should completely leave the Ukrainian territory.
In discussing the ceasefire, Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that he "does not fully trust" Putin. In November 2022, Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented the Formula of Peace in Ukraine at the G20 summit. The plan consists of 10 points and stipulates that Russia should withdraw its troops, compensate for the damage caused and recognize the integrity of the Ukrainian territories.
