To extend: The Russian Design Bureau VVZ Drones has developed FPV-Dron

Aircraft Aircraft: Russia developed drone for knocking down heavy UAVs and helicopters

To extend: The Russian Design Bureau VVZ Drones has developed FPV-Dron "SIFA", which, as an air defense, is allegedly intended for the destruction of percussion drones and combat helicopters in the air. About it reports the Russian propaganda agency TASS. The Russians already call a new drone analogue of a full -fledged air defense system.

It can be used to knock down in the air of "compact" FPV-punks, but as it is noted "there is no special sense" as the development will have a "powerful charge" to knock down helicopters and heavy unmanned aircraft. Defense Express suggests that by this wording, designers mean "Baba Yaga", that is, a Vampire drone, developed by the Ukrainian company SkyFall.

Moreover, the developers do not position their product as a "ram", because it is able to take a sufficient charge on board to defeat large goals. The drone is reported to develop a speed of more than 225 km/h, in the air for 5 minutes. Under these conditions, the device is able to fly up to 15-19 km with a battle charge weighing 700 grams.

Also in the tactical and technical characteristics stable work in the conditions of action of radio electronic struggle, as well as the availability of a system of recognition of goals. The drone "knows" to distinguish what category of the target is in front of him and partially this system is implemented on the basis of neurotrops, according to the message. At the same time, the rates of production, cost and other details of the Russians do not yet reveal.
