"3 thousand dollars for service in the rear": in Lviv on a bribe detained the military

The sanction of the article provides from 3 to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property. A mobilized citizen, who was undergoing a course of basic military training in one of the military units of Rivne region, appealed to the official of the Lviv Territorial Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces for advice on possible further continued service in the rear. This was reported at the State Bureau of Investigation.

A representative of the "military police" assured that for $ 3,000, he will be able to negotiate with "the necessary people" about the transfer of a man to a military unit, which is stationed in Lviv or Rivne region. Thus, as he assured, the mobilized will be able to avoid departure to the war zone. Law enforcement officers detained a representative of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces after receiving the entire amount of bribe.

He has already been informed of the suspicion of extortion and receipt of undue benefit for influencing the decision-making by a person authorized to perform the functions of the state (Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court chose the suspect in the form of detention. Military threatens imprisonment for up to 8 years. The pre -trial investigation is currently underway, and involvement in the illegal activity of other officials is being studied.
