In this case, the company specializes not so much in the production of ready blocks and schemes, but in the manufacture of discrete products - transistors, diodes and simple modules on their basis.

"That is, it is the main manufacturer of components that are used, probably in absolutely all military circuits in the Russian Federation," the authors of the material said. The importance of "Silica El" for Russia's MIC is demonstrating the amount of investments - it is invested from 2010 to $ 5. 5 million annually, with the company increased production eight times over 14 years since 2000.

The company also partially solved the problem of import substitution - in 2019 the plant reported to receive $ 160 million to solve such a problem. It is also known that Silica El experts participated in a number of strategically important research works "Agrophophone", "Agronomy" and "Sylovik-5". Elaborations were used in the creation of active phased antenna lattices of Afar, which is a component of radar systems of air defense, ships, aircraft, etc.

Experts are convinced that such an enterprise is "more than an interesting candidate" to be a target for blows. Moreover, the successful attack of drones showed problems with protection and weakness of the Russian air defense in the area. In addition, the plant is located only 110 km from the Ukrainian border, which means that it is in the area of ​​reach of some Ukrainian weapons systems.
