Ukrainians have developed a new military drone Minishark: The characteristics (video) have been disclosed

The model was made much smaller than its predecessor (Shark), which will allow the military to wear UAVs in backpacks and run out of their hands. Ukrainian company Ukrspecsystems has developed a new model of a drone for a military -owned military. It was first introduced at the Brave1 platform, reports the Militar portal. Minishark is a small unmanned aircraft 125 cm long, 2. 6 meters wingspan and a runway up to 5 kg.

It is the compact size that distinguishes the model from the older brother of Shark and allow the military to run it from his hands. In addition, Minishark is easily versed and the details are placed in two soldiers' backpacks. According to UkrsPecsystems, the new UAV is designed to conduct reconnaissance and search for land goals, which will then be able to destroy artillery, land troops or special units of the Armed Forces.

To do this, he received an optical-electronic chamber with a 10-fold magnification. Minishark can fly within 2 hours within 35 km from the operator, developing speeds up to 120 km/h. The maximum height at which the drone can rise is 1 km, and the operating temperature is from -15 to +45 degrees Celsius. Lands the aircraft, like a plane, but does not use the chassis.

UKRSPECSYSTEMS reported that engineers began to develop a compact UAV, receiving a request for such equipment from the Ukrainian military. Factory tests are currently underway. On April 26, Brave1 was launched in Ukraine, which will allow the state, business and military to cooperate in the field of defense technologies. The cluster should also involve investors, charitable foundations and media.

According to Viceremier-Minister Mikhail Fedorov, with the help of Brave1 enterprises will be able to receive state contracts and launch mass production. In October 2022, Ukrspecsystems presented Shark military drone, whose distinctive feature was the image of a shark muzzle. The company managed to develop UAVs six months after the start of the war. Shark runs with a catapult and leads an intelligence at a distance of 60 km, transmitting an image from a high quality camera.
