From January 1, 2024, a ban on importing Russian non -industrial diamonds with a gradual ban on diamond imports from third countries since March 1 has been introduced. In addition, it is expected to increase the limit of prices for Russian oil. Russian aluminum will also be banned for the first time - it is forbidden to import wire, foil, pipes and tubes.
At the same time, the industry of European countries lobbies the expansion of the range of these products, since only 15% of imports fall under sanctions. The package has also been added to prevent the purchase of dual -use goods by Russia. EU companies will force their counterparties for certain products to sign contracts that prohibit re -export to Russia. At the same time, weakening of control over imports of luxury goods is expected.
