A peace agreement on Ukraine: Washington wants to hold a new meeting with the Russian Federation

To spread: the United States seeks a new meeting with the Russian Federation to discuss a peace agreement on war in Ukraine. The plan envisages fixing the front line, stopping fire and recognizing the control of the Russian Federation over the occupied territories, including the Crimean peninsula. About it writes CNN with reference to sources. The Trump administration is ready to recognize Russian control over the Crimean peninsula as part of Washington's proposal to end the war in Ukraine.

Journalists point out that the assumption that the US may recognize Russian control over Crimea is unlikely to be approved, since President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated in March that the Ukrainian government did not recognize any occupied territories in Russian, which was called the Red Line. The US proposal to end the war also envisages ceasefire along the front line. The agreement was represented by representatives of Europe and Ukraine in Paris last Thursday, the sources said.

The new conditions were also reported to the Russians in a telephone conversation between US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. The source of journalists noted that there were some of the conditions that need to be agreed by adding that the United States is planning to work with Europeans and Ukrainians on this week in London.
