Negotiations on Ukraine: The Kremlin explained whether Putin will meet with Zelensky at the end of August

To extend: the meeting of Ukraine and the Russian Federation at the level of the first person should put a point at the end of the war. Russia is still trying to understand what to discuss. The meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky will be difficult to organize within 30 days. This was stated at a briefing by the Kremlin Prescriber Dmitry Peskov.

The actual meeting of the first persons of Ukraine and the Russian Federation should put a point in the completion of a full -scale war in Ukraine and to record the results of work at the expert level, Peskov said. On the contrary, it is impossible to go through such a complex process in a month, it is possible, according to Putin's pressecretic. In addition, the projects of peaceful memorandums of Russia and Ukraine are diametrically opposite and it will not work immediately.

A difficult job is waiting ahead, he summed up. For his part, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky shows his readiness to negotiate with Putin and can meet him "though tomorrow", said at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. It should be noted that the third round of peace talks at the Chiragan Palace in Istanbul ended on July 24. The conversations of officials lasted less than an hour.

The Russian side was offered a meeting of leaders with the participation of Turkish and US Presidents Recep Taiip Erdogan and Donald Trump by the end of August. Ukraine also insisted on a complete and unconditional cease to stop fire and progress in the release of prisoners of war and civilians, including children. Moscow believes that before the meeting of Zelensky and Putin, the terms of the agreement must be worked out and understanding what to discuss.
