One day of war for Russia costs almost a billion dollars - Sibiga

To spread: Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga said that Russia's daily expenses for war with Ukraine are almost one billion dollars. He said this in an interview with the Azerbaijani edition of Haqqin. "The cost of one day of war for Russia is almost one billion dollars. How many benefits they could bring their people for that money! And what do they do instead? Sow death!" Sibiga said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that after the analysis of Russian missiles, especially ballistic, it was found that approximately 30-35% of their details come from Western countries. According to Sibiga, this indicates that Russia is looking for ways to bypass sanctions, so it is important to impose secondary restrictions on third countries that help the aggressor.

"I can tell you exactly: sanctions work! They need to be strengthened and closed by the ways in which Russia bypasses sanctions. Otherwise we will not be able to stop Russia," said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Sibiga added that Ukraine is constantly urging the US to increase sanction pressure on Russia in order to force it to a truce. In addition, Kyiv appealed to European allies to impose similar restrictions.

The Ukrainian side proposes to limit the price of Russian oil at $ 30 per barrel, as well as insists on the introduction of secondary sanctions and expanding restrictions on the Russian banking sector, in particular against the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. We will remind, according to the portal of the Ministry of Finance, as of May 14, 2025, the total cost of lost equipment by the Russian army since the beginning of a full -scale invasion was approximately $ 93. 78 billion.
