"It cannot be solved": The Prime Minister called the war in Ukraine "frozen conflict"

According to the premiere of Slovakia Robert Fitzo, the Russian and Ukrainian sides should sit at the negotiation table, because the conflict will not be resolved by the military. Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo called the war in Ukraine a "frozen conflict" and noted that it could not be resolved due to the supply of weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He stated this after meeting with Czech colleague Peter Fiala in Prague, reports Associated Press.

Fitzo also said that he would prefer that the Russian and Ukrainian sides were sitting at the negotiation table. He did not say how to achieve it. The Fiala said that the Czech Republic is an adamant supporter of Ukraine and supplies heavy weapons and other weapons. "There is no doubt that we (with Fitzo - ed. ) There are different views on some issues," the Czech Prime Minister said.

Fitzo said he respects the Czech position and repeated that Slovakia was ready to provide Ukraine with humanitarian or other assistance. He said he did not see the point of going to Kiev, but announced that he would talk to his phone with his Ukrainian colleague Denis Shmigal that the country needed the country before the coming winter. At the time of the publication, the Ukrainian side did not comment on the incident.

After winning the election, the new Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo said that his country is ready to help in the restoration of Ukraine, but not weapons. Later, the speaker of the Slovak Parliament Peter Pellegrini spoke to continue to execute military orders made on a commercial basis. "If someone orders and pays for these systems, it is the support of the Slovak industry," he said.

The defense industry of Slovakia, along with other countries of Central and Eastern Europe, has developed against the background of efforts to assist Ukraine in the fight against Russian invasion. Recall that Fitzo recently emphasized that he has no intention of maintaining "no sanctions" in respect of Russia under the European Union, until the potential consequences of these sanctions for EU member states are evaluated.
