Musk personally talked to Putin and disconnected Starlink for the Armed Forces - the media

According to journalists, the US Defense Ministry spokesman knew in October last year that the billionaire negotiated with the Kremlin. Entrepreneur Ilon Musk, in a telephone conversation with representatives of the Pentagon on the provision of satellite Internet to the Ukrainian army, mentioned that he personally spoke with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. About it reports the American weekly The New Yorker in the article "The shadow mode of Ilon Mask".

During a conversation with the US Defense Ministry representative, Last October Musk spoke about his personal conversation with the Kremlin's head last year. The meeting with Kama was due to the fact that the Ukrainian military suddenly began to disappear Starlink in the Ukrainian territory, which the Russians tried to capture.

Kal concluded that Musk was afraid that Starlink's connection in the Russian Federation would be considered a military aid to Ukraine and sought the opportunity to pacify the Russian leadership. "We are aware of reach and interest in this area, and the Ministry cooperates with Starlink. But given the critical importance of these systems, we do not yet publish additional details about special opportunities, contracts or partners," - said Pentagon press service.

Earlier, in October last year, Musk denied that he personally talked to Putin. In his post on Twitter (the social network he recently renamed X), a billionaire wrote that he spoke with Putin about a year and a half ago and the topic of the conversation was space. The publication in New Yorker has again stirred public resonance on the topic of peace talks. Last year, Musk proposed his peace plan, which was appreciated in the Kremlin and criticized in Kiev.

Some time after that, the Ukrainian defenders began to report the poor work of Starlink, and Musk, for its part, was completely threatened with stopping the funding of access to the Armed Forces to the service. His company SpaceX was offered the United States Government for Starlink for Ukraine, in the future Musk said he was changing his position, and promised to finance this project free of charge. In June, the US Defense Ministry announced a starlink contract for Ukraine.

Linkedin founder Genus Hoffman stated that his former colleague, who was a member of the Paypal Mafia conditional group, bought Putin about war in Ukraine. At the beginning of zero years, Hoffman and Musk worked on creating PayPal. He mentioned that during a press conference in Asphen last September, Musk stated that Putin wanted peace and that he needs to negotiate with him.
