Russia's air attacks on Kiev reduce the ability of the Armed Forces

In recent months, the Russian Federation has launched a new limited air campaign, trying to weaken Ukrainian counter -offensive capabilities, the ISW analysts believe. The air attacks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Kiev, which in recent days have increased, reduced the ability for Russia to restrain the expected counter -offensive of Ukraine's defense forces. This is stated in the report of the American Institute of War Study (ISW) for May 29.

So, on the night of May 29, Russian troops struck another series of blows in Ukraine with winged rockets and Iranian UAVs. The General Staff of the Armed Forces reported that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation released 40 aviation missiles X-101/X-555 and 38 UAV "Shahhed-131/136" on the night of May 29 and 11 missiles "Iskander-M/K" in the daytime May 29.

The Ukrainian air defense has destroyed 36 winged missiles X-101/X-555, 30 Shahheda drones and all 11 Iskander missiles, which were heading to Kyiv and Kyiv region, and Ukrainian air defense also intercepted missiles and drones near Lviv, Mykolaiv and Odessa, and the Armed Forces. The Russian Federation was struck by port infrastructure in Odessa and a military facility in Khmelnytskyi.

"The Russian forces have launched a new limited air campaign in recent months to worsen Ukrainian counter -offensive opportunities, but the fact that Russia is shooting Kiev is probably further limiting the ability of the campaign to significantly restrain the potential counter -offensive actions of Ukraine," - concluded the analytics of the Institute of War.

It should be reminded that in the Air Force of the Armed Forces told why it is impossible to shoot and lay out the photos of the fragments of rockets. Publication on social networks and media such photos can harm the Ukrainian air defense forces and helps the Russian Federation determine what type of weapons the Ukrainian defenders have worked for hostile air purposes.
