"We will intensify": Ignatus named Western systems that will be the basis of Ukrainian air defense

According to the Air Force spokesman, the Armed Forces cannot constantly use Soviet weapons, because it has the ability to wear out. The Ukrainian sky will protect modern systems from partners. Western Patriot, Iris-T and NASAMS systems can be the basis of Ukrainian air defense in the future. This opinion was voiced by the Speaker of the Armed Forces Yuri Ignat at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine - Ukrinform on November 21.

According to him, the help of Western partners helps protect Ukrainian regions from Russian attacks, which have not been stopped for almost 21 months. In the future, modern air defense systems will be able to replace outdated Soviet equipment. "The main four complexes that will probably become the basis of our air defense are Patriot, Samp/T, Iris-T and NASAMS.

These systems themselves will make a shield from the air forces, and in the future already echelorated air defense will be distributed by the genus and other forces Defense. We will intensify. Now this intensification occurs by introducing additional mobile fire groups, " - said Yuri Ignat. It was separately noted that Ukrainian experts, together with American colleagues, were able to adapt the SEA Sparrow missiles to the Soviet complexes "Beech M1".

These launchers can use missiles autonomously, which is a significant intensification. Now there is a question in increasing the number of modern technology, because for a long time to use Soviet systems will not work. "We now have more (updated Western systems - ed. It will become smaller, " - summed up Yuri Ignat. We will remind, on November 20 it was reported which air defense systems protect Kiev and close the sky above the capital.
