"Stoltenberg deserves a reward for a prominent work as a NATO Secretary General at a difficult time for the Alliance. A brutal and unconscious attack of Russia on a peaceful neighboring country on February 24, 2022," says Norwegian politician. Tibring-Gyedde also noted that Stoltenberg perceived Ukraine's confrontation with Russian aggression as a struggle of all Europe. "Stoltenberg has always been clear that NATO countries are standing together and that the Alliance would protect every millimeter of the territory of the participating states in accordance with the Atlantic Covenant. This is undoubtedly an important signal for Russia and at the same time a decisive factor in maintaining the union," said the Norwegian MP.
Christian Tibering-Gedde pointed out that Stoltenberg rejected false beliefs that economic prosperity was guaranteed by the absence of armed conflict. According to Tibering-Gedde, it influenced the further inclusion of Sweden and Finland in NATO and increasing the defense capability of these countries.
