According to the Norwegian MP, who nominated the Secretary General, Stoltenberg quickly realized that Ukraine's struggle against Russian aggression was also a struggle between Europe. The Norwegian Parliamentary Christian Tibering-Geddea has nominated the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance of Jens Stoltenberg for the Nobel Peace Prize. The deputy wrote about it on his Facebook page.

"Stoltenberg deserves a reward for a prominent work as a NATO Secretary General at a difficult time for the Alliance. A brutal and unconscious attack of Russia on a peaceful neighboring country on February 24, 2022," says Norwegian politician. According to him, the current Alliance Secretary General immediately realized the severity of the Russian Federation's aggression against countries that based on their policies on democratic values.

Tibring-Gyedde also noted that Stoltenberg perceived Ukraine's confrontation with Russian aggression as a struggle of all Europe. "Stoltenberg has always been clear that NATO countries are standing together and that the Alliance would protect every millimeter of the territory of the participating states in accordance with the Atlantic Covenant. This is undoubtedly an important signal for Russia and at the same time a decisive factor in maintaining the union," said the Norwegian MP.

Christian Tibering-Gedde pointed out that Stoltenberg rejected false beliefs that economic prosperity was guaranteed by the absence of armed conflict. According to Tibering-Gedde, it influenced the further inclusion of Sweden and Finland in NATO and increasing the defense capability of these countries. Recall that on December 23, 2022, Jens Stoltenberg criticized the Kremlin's statements about the desire of negotiations with Ukraine.
