Ukraine should mobilize more people in the Armed Forces to improve the quality of training - People's Deputy

According to Roman Kostenko, nowadays are teaching minimal skills during preparation. In order to improve the quality of training of new soldiers, Ukraine should increase mobilization and gain more people. The secretary of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for National Security, Defense and Intelligence, Colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine Roman Kostenko told this in an interview with UNIAN.

According to him, if people will be in training centers, the Armed Forces will be longer without replenishment. "The parts will be without replenishment. Therefore, more people will need to replenish them," Kostenko said. He also noted that sometimes men, who are 50 years old, are better learning and even more physically developed than those who are not 30 years old. However, according to the People's Deputy, younger fighters are better for combat units.

After all, modern war requires modern thinking. "And modern means of destruction, modern weapons also require those who, let's say, are more updated. This, I think, young people. Therefore, those who are up to 30-of course, they should be a priority," Kostenko said. According to him, nowadays, recruits are trained in the preparation of minimal skills. "You take a machine gun, dig a trench and shoot yourself at the enemy. This is the basics.
