This is stated in the evening construction of the Armed Forces General Staff as of 18:00 on December 17, published on Facebook. The enemy struck two rocket and 25 aviation strikes, made 25 shelling of rocket launchers on the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements. As noted in the information of the General Staff, as a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, the killed and injured among civilians. Private dwellings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

As stated in the construction of the General Staff, the operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult. In Volyn and Polissya directions, the operational situation remains without significant changes. No signs of formation of offensive groups were detected. In the Siversky and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy tries to conduct sabotage and intelligence activities in the border areas, shelters settlements.

Thus, more than 20 settlements have experienced artillery and mortar shelling. In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of the Armed Forces. However, Ukrainian defenders repelled 6 enemy attacks near Sinkivka and Easier Petropavlivka of Kharkiv region. About 10 settlements were under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Liman Defense Force, 8 enemy attacks in the Makeevka areas of the Luhansk region and the east of the Ternov region were reflected. In addition, the enemy struck near the Zanovna of Donetsk region, and more than 10 settlements were injured from enemy artillery and mortar shelling. In the Bakhmut direction, 5 attacks of the enemy near Bogdanivka, Klyshchiyivka and Andreevka of Donetsk region were reflected. About 10 settlements were under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Avdeevsky direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of our troops. 15 enemy attacks in the Novobakhmutivka, Stepov, Avdiivka and another 10 - south of the tone, Nevelsky and Pervomaisky Donetsk region were reflected. More than 10 settlements have experienced artillery and mortar shelling. In the Mariinsky direction of defense forces continue to restrain the enemy in the area of ​​Novomikhailivka of Donetsk region.

Here the enemy, with the support of aviation, made 4 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of our defenders. In the mineral direction, the enemy did not conduct assault actions, but subjected to artillery and mortar shelling of about 10 settlements. In the Zaporizhzhya direction, the forces of defense repelled 3 attacks by the enemy west of willow and robot. About 20 settlements have undergone artillery and mortar shelling.

In the Kherson direction of artillery shelling of the enemy were suffered by Kherson, Darjeevka, Antonovka, Kizomis of Kherson region and Ochakov of the Nikolaev area.
