Shelling and crashes underground: there was a fire in a mine with miners - Ministry of Energy

The Ministry of Energy has stated that only the frontal territories are suffering from Russian shelling. However, the rocket stroke of the Russian Federation damaged the "refining object" and the mine. In Ukraine, as a result of Russian shelling, six areas located near the front line and near the border were injured. Due to the voltage differences, there was an emergency at the mine, with the threat of 45 miners.

In addition, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation damaged the industrial enterprise of the sphere of energy. The details of the current situation were told at the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine. The emergency happened at the mine in Donetsk region, the Ministry of Energy said. There was a voltage drop, resulting in a fire. At the time of ignition underground there were 45 miners. The fire lasted for about an hour, but did not have time to penetrate. Over time, the power supply was restored.

The office of the department indicated that one of the strokes of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation damaged the equipment of the oil refinery. The press service did not report which object is discussed and in which region it is located. The Russians also hit one TPP in the Donetsk region, the press service said. There are no victims, no damage is mentioned.

During the last day, 14,000 subscribers in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Kherson, Kharkiv, Sumy and Chernihiv regions have lost their power supply, the Ministry of Energy reported. In parallel, Ukrainian energy returned 27 thousand consumers. The Ministry of Energy did not inform whether they plan to make planned shutdowns of Ukrainians in the near future. However, it was stated that Ukraine exported more electricity (1720 MWh) than imported (1176 MWh).

It should be noted that Ukrainian officials said that during the year shelling conducted by the Russian army, about 40% of Ukraine's energy infrastructure was damaged. The infrastructure was repaired for almost a year, but about 70% of damaged elements were restored. As of August 2023, the Ministry of Energy stated that they were not planned. At the same time, they emphasized that they may not be even after shelling of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

In turn, the military is warned that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation collected about 700 missiles of different species that can hit Ukraine. The Ministry of Defense predicts that Ukraine's energy can be threatened again. The President's office also stressed that the Russians are expecting an infrastructure.
