The Ukrainian military simplified the procedure for writing off drones: how will it help to defeat Russia

According to the new terms, units can write down the destroyed UAVs worth up to UAH 1. 5 million without agreed with senior management. The Ukrainian military will be able to write off damaged or destroyed drones according to the simplified procedure and in just a few weeks. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov in his Telegram channel on Tuesday, October 17.

The official noted that a little earlier in the country had already simplified the import of drones, the procedure for admission to operation, canceled duties and VAT, created special areas for testing "birds". The procedure for writing off drones is the last block that interfered with the development of the UAV market. "From now on, the military will be able to write off damaged or destroyed drones according to the simplified procedure and in just a few weeks.

Thanks to this, the state will be able to provide more effectively for the defense forces of drones at the front," Mikhail Fedorov wrote. If earlier to write off an unmanned aerial vehicle, which is not recoverable, it was necessary to prepare from 16 to 38 documents, then after simplification of the procedure, 2-4 official papers will be sufficient. And the procedure, instead of 6 months, will be completed within 2-3 weeks.

"For example, 10 drones are assigned to the military, which are damaged during the combat mission. To get new drones, he needs to write off the previous. And this is up to six months of paper work. Now the process will happen much faster," Mikhail Fedorov explained. Thanks to the order of the Ministry of Defense: we will remind, in early January 2023 the Cabinet simplified the import of commercial drones to Ukraine for the Armed Forces.
