"The inscriptions on the shells and the R-12 H index are fully the same. There are differences in the last line where the series and the date of manufacture are marked," experts emphasized.

At the same time, they specified that the projectile in the hands of the Ukrainian fighter, apparently, was released in 1995. "It is unknown how the Ammunition of the DPR was armed with the Ukrainian forces. It is a fairly closed country to the world and its government has repeatedly expressed support for Russian occupation of Ukrainian territories by Russia," experts wrote.

They suggested that such ammunition could, as an option, get from Western allies, who periodically intercepts smugglers who were carrying weapons to terrorists in the Middle East. It is also impossible to exclude the variant of resale of such shells through third countries, but in any case the presence of ammunition with such a marking indicates a sharp lack of 122 mm jet shells for the Armed Forces fighters, experts summed up.
