"Take a break and then continue": Orban offered Zelensky truce with Russia (video)

According to the Hungarian Prime Minister, the Ukrainian President's peace initiatives are highly valued in Budapest, but they take a long time. In this regard, the politician suggested that Kiev go the other way. Hungary Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who arrived in Kiev for the first time in many years, offered Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky ceasefire. This was learned during a press conference of politicians.

According to him, the next six months Hungary will preserve the EU Council and Budapest intends to pay special attention to the topic of peace. This is one of the reasons why the politician arrived in Kiev. "The war you live in now has a very intensive effect on Europe's safety. We appreciate all the initiatives of Mr. President Zelensky for the sake of peace. These initiatives take a long time," Viktor Orban said.

The Hungarian Prime Minister separately added that such peace initiatives are extremely complicated due to the rules of international diplomacy, so he urged Kiev to think about another variant of events. At the same time, the politician said during the press conference that I was grateful to the Ukrainian President in his opinion on this issue. "And I asked Mr. President to think about whether it is possible to go a little differently.

Take a break and then continue, start negotiations," - summed up Victor Orban. Later, Volodymyr Zelenskyy also spoke on his Facebook page on the social network Facebook. According to him, they managed to discuss the issues of neighborhood relations: trade, cooperation, as well as infrastructure and energy issues.

"In general, the content of our dialogue on all today's issues can be the basis for a new bilateral document between our states - a document that will regulate all our relationships that will be based on a mirror approach to bilateral relations between Ukraine and Hungary and which will allow our peoples to use all goods unity in Europe, "the Ukrainian president said. We will remind, on July 2 it was reported that Victor Orban announced the first steps to end the war in Ukraine.
