However, there are categories of citizens who have the right to join the Armed Forces only at their own request. This is provided by the Law on Mobilization Training and Mobilization. The focus understood who can serve only at will. The legislation establishes 15 groups of citizens who can be released from conscription and can only be drafted into the army at will.
These citizens provide the necessary documents to the Territorial Military Commissariat (TCC) to receive a deferral and, if necessary, undergo the Military Medical Commission (VLK). However, they cannot be forcibly drafted in military service. Among such citizens: must have a passport and identification code. If the candidate is 18 to 21, the written consent of the parents to join the army is required.
The Military Medical Commission is required, which determines the suitability of military service and, in certain cases, to work or position that may be contraindicated. After admission to military service, military exercises begin, which lasts up to 4 weeks. The basic general military training must last at least a month, as defined by the legislation since June 2023. The training of fighters is conducted in training centers, at all -military landfills or in military units of territorial defense.
