Thousand New T-90m2: As Russia begins the modernization of armored troops

Having lost many tanks on the front, Russia continues to rest against and cherishes ambitious plans to modernize this kind of troops, writes military observer David ex. However, this revolution will not happen so soon-in a few years, when the armored troops of the Russian Federation will receive more than a thousand new T-90m2. The supply of new T-90m tanks from Uralvagonzavod on the slope of the Ural Mountains may have come to naught.

But this does not prevent the Kremlin from planning a massive increase in the production of tanks, in particular the new version of T-90M-T-90m2. T-90M2, apparently, has a new transmission and active protection system that launches small explosive devices for flying flying enemy. Production T-90M2 "is planned to start on a modest scale: only 10 units in 2026," explains the Ukrainian analytical group Fronetelligence Insight in a report based on Russian documents.

"However, the long -term production plan of Russia indicates much more ambitious goals," adds Fronetelligence Insight. "In the period from 2026 to 2036, Moscow intends to create at least 1783 T-90M and T-90m2 tanks, of which 1118 should be completed within three years from 2027 to 2029. " This number of new tanks will be enough to re -educate almost half of the armored troops of Russia. Other types of tanks are also planned.
