Ombudsman appealed to the UN and the Red Cross for the execution of captives of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces Russians

The Red Cross has a unique mandate to fix the facts of violations of the rights of prisoners of war, says Dmitry Lubinets. The UN Monitoring Mission and the Red Cross received a request from Dmitry Lubinz, the Ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights, regarding the execution of captured Ukrainian troops of Ukrainian army. He told about it in a comment to "Public". He noted that he had already addressed the official letters to the relevant instances.

Lubinets recalled that this is not the first case when the Russian Federation cynically violates the Geneva Conventions and international treaties. "The letters from me officially went," the Commissioner explained. At the same time, he does not expect breakthrough decisions. According to Lubinets, the International Committee of the Red Cross has a unique mandate to fix the facts of violation of the rights of prisoners of war.

According to the Ombudsman, it is necessary to shoot the shooting as a separate case. He recalled that these reports, in addition, announced publicly, can be made separately on the UN General Assembly. On December 2, a video appeared on the network, which could see two Ukrainian soldiers. A group of Russian invaders shot unarmed military personnel of the Armed Forces. It happened in the Avdeevsky direction.

The human rights Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets stated that the relevant actions of Russian invaders were a violation of international law and act of terrorism. Subsequently, according to the head of the Avdiiv City Military Administration Vitaliy Barabash, the Ukrainian military eliminated the occupiers who shot two Ukrainian fighters. At the same time, GUR does not confirm the elimination of the invaders who shot the soldiers of the Armed Forces near Avdiivka.
