The atomic submarine

Russian atomic submarines sailed 6437 km under Arctic ice (video)

The atomic submarine "Yasen-M" is completed with winged rockets of long range, including "Caliber" and "Onyx". It was also upgraded to install Zircon. On September 16, 2024, two Russian nuclear submarines "Imperiator Alexander III" and "Krasnoyarsk" passed under the ice of the Arctic through, in general, six Arctic seas in difficult ice conditions. Army recognition writes about it.

Submarines of the class "Yasen-M" (project 885m) and "Bore-A" (Project 955a) play a key role in the modernization of the Navy of Russia, but perform completely different operational functions, reflecting different requirements for conducting a tactical and strategic military campaign. The atomic submarine "Yasen-M" is completed with winged rockets of long range, including "Caliber" and "Onyx". It was upgraded to install Zircon missile.

Such a configuration allows you to hit different goals at considerable distances, including submarines. Such submarines can carry from 24 to 40 rockets, and the starting system of the UKSK VLS is designed for a wide range of missions. These shock submarines have 10 torpedo devices (533 mm), which increases their melee options against other submarine and ships. The main feature of the Yasen-M is the technology of hidden movement.

The submarine is equipped with advanced hydroacoustic complexes such as MGC-600 "Irtysh-Amphor". The submarine has expanded the ability to detect while maintaining the minimum noise level. The main part of the housing is made of low -steel, and noise remedies minimize acoustic signatures. According to reports, a submarine can operate at a speed of about 20-28 knots (37-51 km/h) in "silent mode", which can compete with some of the most quiet submarines, such as American types of "Virginia".

Among other things, the reactor on Yasen-M is designed to work for 25-30 years without refueling. Bore-A class is a submarine with ballistic missiles designed for strategic nuclear restraint. Unlike the tactical orientation of "Yasena-M", "Bore-A" was created in order to give Russia a reliable possibility of a second blow in the event of nuclear conflict.
